AURORA의 목소리가 나른한 분위기라고 해서 편하게만 들을 수 있는 앨범은 아닌데요.

전체적으로 위의 사진처럼 몽환적이고 어둡고 멜랑꼴리한 분위기의 앨범이기 때문에

정신적으로 피곤했을 때는 별로 추천하고 싶진 않지만...

이 앨범 안에서 AURORA의 다양한 음악적 시도들이 느껴지기 때문에

꽤나 주목해서 들어볼만한 앨범입니다.

AURORA는 디럭스 에디션을 제외한 대부분의 곡에 직접 참여했는데요.

앨범 트랙 중에서

"Running with the Wolves"

"Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)"

"Conqueror"

"Warrior"

이 곡들은 AURORA가 이전에 냈던 싱글의 타이틀 곡이기도 합니다 ㅎㅎ

그래서인지 곡 대부분에서 몽환적이지만 소녀틱한 부분들이 느껴지는 것 같습니다.

목소리로만 소녀스러움이 느껴지는 게 아니라 곡 자체에서 어른들이 꿈을 꾸는 것 같다기보단 

소녀가 이런저런 망상이나 몽상을 하는 것 같달까요? ㅎㅎ

목소리 자체도 성숙한 편은 아니어서 어두운 숲속에서 정령들이 이야기하는 것 같기도 하고

마치 엠넷의 "위키드"를 보고 있는 것 같은 곡도 있더군요.

.....

이 앨범은 전체적으로 몽환적이고 웅장하고 어두워서 

강렬한 비트도 느껴지고, 이질적이기도 하고, 꿈 속에 있는 것 같고, 주문을 외우는 것 같고, 공황상태에 빠진 것 같기도 하지만

앨범 중간중간에 느낌이 확 다른 곡들이 들어가있는 것도 인상적입니다.

예를 들어

2번 트랙은 발랄한 10대의 모습이 느껴지고,

6번 트랙은 사춘기 소녀가 사랑을 꿈꾸며 설레기도 하고 망설이기도 하는 것 같으면서도 당돌한 느낌마저도 들고,

13번 트랙은 사근사근하고 나른한 느낌이 드는...? ㅎㅎ

들으면 들을수록 대략 정신이 멍해지는.... 경험을 하실 수 있을 것 같네요 ㅋㅋ

제가 이 앨범 중에서 가장 좋아하는 곡은 Warrior인데요!

월드뮤직스럽게 흘러가다가 강렬한 비트가 나오는데, 여린 목소리가 그 강렬한 비트 위에 얹어지는 게 독특하더라구요~

역시 음악은 들으면 들을수록 새로운 것 투성이네요 ㅋㅋㅋ
